While the discussions on the consequences for civil aviation of the Flight MH17 disaster continue, several legal and institutional questions have already come to the fore. In particular, the management of sovereign airspace and the conglomerate of safety & security rules have been placed under the microscope. Sovereign functions such as closure of (parts of) national airspace or restrictions on its use, the role of ATC providers, and the management of (civil) air traffic will equally remain under scrutiny.

It is possible to solve strategic staffing industry task effectively only by uniting the efforts of airlines and airports. This decision was reached by the participants of the seminar "Problems of staffing of civil aviation. Professional standards", which was held on February 27 in Higher School of Economics. The organizers of the seminar was the Association "Aviation personnel" and the company "Aviapersonal".

On April 16-17, 2015 at the Law faculty of the Hetman Petro Konashevych-Sagaydachniy Kyiv State Academy of Water Transport (Kiev, Frunze Str., 9) will be held V International scientific and practical Conference "Actual problems of development of modern civil, international maritime and transport law."

Program Committee of Vth St. Petersburg International Legal Forum approved the topic of the round table "The air as the legal environment", which was proposed by The Institute of Air and Space Law AEROHELP. The Vth Legal Forum will be held in St. Peterubrge on May 27-30, 2015.

At the end of the regular Air and Space Law Conference "AERO 2014. Air and Space Law" was reached an agreement in principle about the positioning of this (and subsequent conferences) organized by the Legal Institute of the National Aviation University (Kiev, Ukraine), at the conference Air Law Web portal AIRLAW.ru.
