About: 

The International Institute of Air and Space Law of Leiden University is happy to announce that the eleventh edition of the International Air Law Moot Court is going to take place in St. Petersburg, Russia. This year, the International Institute of Air and Space Law of Leiden University and co-founder of the competition, the Sarin Memorial Legal Aid Foundation from India, join forces with the Institute of Air and Space Law AEROHELP in St. Petersburg to organize the 11th edition of the Competition.
We invite Universities having an interest in international air law to send a team to the Competition which will be held on 17-19 April 2020 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

This year, for the first time, a national round will be organized in Russia. The local organizer responsible for the national round is the Institute of Air and Space Law AEROHELP in St. Petersburg in collaboration with the Russian Arbitration Center in Moscow. The national round in Russia will be held on February 20, 2020 in the building of the Russian Arbitration Center at the following address: 14, bldg 3 Kadashevskaya embankment 119017, Моscow, Russian Federation.

Registration: 

The deadline for registration is 29 October 2019. Registration is completed successfully when the registration fee (see below) has been paid and received. In case a national round is held in the State, the registration fee within the specified time is not required, but is carried out after the national round is held by the teams of the winners of the national round until February 14, 2020. Teams can register by sending an email to airlawmootcourt@law.leidenuniv.nl, including the following information:

  • Name of University:
  • Country:
  • Team members: (first + family name, gender)
  • Coaches: (first + family name, gender)
Postal address: 

All teams have to send one applicant memorial and one respondent memorial to Leiden University until 20 January 2020. The address is:
