He has master's degree in social sciences.

He defended his master's thesis on business administration at the Southern Cross University (Australia), was awarded the MBA.

He defended his master's thesis on air and space law at the International Institute of Air and Space Law of the University of Leiden.

Other Activities: 

He held the position of Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation of India. While working in the Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation, he held positions in the Boards of Air India and Indian Airlines, as well as as Chairman of Pawan Hans Helicopters.

He headed the Indian side in the negotiations on the conclusion of international agreements on air services with more than 30 countries.

In 2007, he was elected chairman of the Economic Commission at the 36th Session of the Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Member of the Council of CSTPL a joint Indian-Canadian enterprise engaged in simulator training of aviation personnel.

Member of the International Advisory Council of the International Institute of Air and Space Law of Leiden University (Leiden, the Netherlands).

The founder and president of the law firm RKS Associates. Works with Indian aviation enterprises and airports on regulatory matters, including dispute resolution.
