Training course in IAC on Passenger rights protection under the International air law and the EU law

June 26-27, 2017, in the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) was held a training course on the program: "Passenger rights protection under the International air law and the EU law". The training was conducred by the expert of the AEROHELP Institute in the field of airport ground handling, liability for bird strikes, maintemamce for passengers with redused mibility (PRM), Warsaw system and Montreal Convention, LL.M. Berin Ridjanovic (Sarajevo).

The course provides an overview of the most imporatnt private air law instruments - Warsaw System and Montreal Convention and passenger protection regulations in EU, such as EU Regulation 261/2004 and EU Regulation 1107/2006.

The training was attended by students from among the operators, the scientific community, as well as companies that provide legal services to the subjects of aviation activities. The training was conducted in English with a consecutive translation into Russian.

Within the framework of the course, participants noted the relevance and importance of the issues under consideration in regulating the carrier's liability for violating the rights of passengers in the light of Russia's accession to the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Carriage by Air (Montreal, May 28, 1999).

The course was held in a friendly and businesslike atmosphere. The expert and the students were satisfied with the results. As a result of the training, each student who successfully passed the test received a certificate of professional development.
