In 1984 he graduated from Faculty of Navigational at the Academy of Civil Aviation, Leningrad (now - St. Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation).
After graduation he worked as ATM Controller of Area Center, and then as the Flight Control Officer Supervisor of the Mineralovodskiy ATS Center.
From 2004 to 2007 he worked as the Haed of ATM Department at Mineralovodskiy ATS Center.
From 2007 to present he works as a Head of the St. Petersburg Area Center of Joint ATM System.
