Institute of air and space law AEROHELP
20 December, 2015 the Director of the Institute of Air and Space Law AEROHELP Oleg Aksamentov held a public lecture on topical issues of international air law by the invitation of the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Sharia Dr. Moh'd Makame Haji University of Zanzibar (Zanzibar, Tanzania). The lecture was attended by students and professors of the University of Zanzibar.
Genuine interest among the audience caused a debate on the legal status of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO ) and its role in promoting the unification of the legal orders of the States parties through the adoption of standards and recommended practices (SARPs) by ICAO Council. Such questions as responsibility of States for accidents in the sovereign airspace, procedure for international flights and other issues were also considered.
