Slot coordination, schedule formation and maintenance rules

16-18 September, 2015 in Saint-Petersburg was held the further vocational training on advanced training program "Slot coordination, schedule formation and maintenance rules" (24 hours). For the first time since the Institute AEROHELP has been established, the training was conducted by a citizen of Ukraine, an expert in airport activity Serge Murashkin.

The object of training is to increase the level of professional skills in the field of international regulatory framework, which regulates the issues a seasonal flight schedule formation. The audience got detailed information about how to determine the capacity of the airport and how are airports classified according to the utilization rate of airport capacity and workload. They learned what means "season of navigation", "slot", "series of slots", "historical slot", in which airports slots are applied, and in which not, what is the difference between slots of ATS units and airport slots. During the course, the audience could get familiar with the Section 6 of the IATA Schedules Information Manual (SSIM), studied in details the sequence and procedures of airports’ coordinators and airlines scheduling specialists in the flight schedule formation before, during and after the IATA Conference Schedule (SCC). They also got an information how to prepare and take part in the conference.

The training was attended by audience from legal community, teachers from higher educational institutes and operator's staff members of International Minsk airport. The training was given in Russian language.
